| Quaint little log cabin |
Hello! For the past few days, life has been pretty tedious, studying for my final two exams tomorrow (yay summer!) but today, my mum, her best friend Sarah, Sarah's son Ethan and I went to...a garden centre. Now, this doesn't sound like the most thrilling of days out, but I assure you I had a fab time! The centre itself was huge, with a café and animals (okay fish) and lots of plants as well as cutesy little homely things. We went so that mum could show Sarah the hot tub we are planning on getting once the extension work on our house is finished, and our garden has been redone. All very exciting changes that are occurring! And I had a mooch around at the log cabins whilst they were looking in the camping section, and okay I've decided I no longer want a house when I am older, I am quite happy to just live in a log cabin. Look, it is so cute!

They were all furnished with sweet things and I was quite frankly angry when my mother said we couldn't purchase one, because at £5,500 they 'just weren't worth it.' Point taken. So, we continued to mooch and had some lunch before then adventuring out into the plant section. So I took a few photos and actually decided I quite like plants and cannot wait until our garden is in a position where I can help pick out a few things to plant. I feel this may take some time, as we have yet to even start the extension yet. But oh well! Then we went into the fish section and saw some little fish, including a Nemo fish, which Sarah and mum found very exciting. Then, we went outside to look at the huge fish which I actually really love because when I was little we used to have a pond and my dad reared these sort of fish, and they are really friendly, which sounds odd because they are fish.

But then, Ethan was looking through this glass house and said he wasn't sure what was in there, but there was a statue of an alligator. So I went to have a look, and sure enough there was an alligator statue, and a big tank of murky water. Odd. So then I joked to mum and Sarah that there was an alligator, and they both laughed at me, and came to look. So I was laughing too, AND THEN I SAW IT MOVE. It scared the life out of me. It's neck was moving in and out as it breathed. Then the lady who ran the animal section told us there were two, and they were real. I had a bit of moment because I genuinely though they were statues. They weren't actually alligators, they had a special name but I had swiftly moved away from them, and the woman before I could find out anymore. Whilst mum and Sarah chatted to the lady, Ethan and I spent about ten minutes smelling every single Yankee Candle the shop had. I loved the Cotton Fresh, Garden Sweet Pea and Beachwood one. I hated, and actually gagged at the Vanilla Cupcake one. I don't know what vanilla cupcakes the Yankee Candle team have been smelling, but they certainly do not smell like the candle in the jar I smelt! We then left about twenty minutes later after browsing the home and ware section. It was a nice, relaxing day. Tomorrow I sit my last two GCSE's, but unfortunately most of my other friends don't finish until either Monday or Thursday (poor them) so I can't be too happy, because there is no one to celebrate with! I hope your last few days have been fun, or at least productive!
