Hello! Well this past week or so has been busy busy busy. So I apologise for not posting. I have noticed that the number of people reading has dwindled slightly, so I hope that I'm not boring you!
I spent this past weekend at Tonefest in Poole, very close to where I live. I had a fab time, despite getting caught in a thunderstorm last night (I hate lightening) the weekend opened me up to a whole host of musical talent that I would other wise had not discovered. My dad prints the t-shirts for Tonefest, which is how we heard about it, and we will definitely be going back. I did not take my camera as I've lost the case and didn't want to risk losing/breaking my camera. Some of the acts I enjoyed where The Guns of Navarone (I've seen them before, my parents know people in the band), Legend (a Bob Marley tribute), Adam Pulfer (his music is super relaxing, and he's funny too), Gideon Conn (hilarious lyrics, quite odd, but really interesting if that makes sense...YouTube him!), Cash Converted (my dad and I are huge Johnny Cash fans, and Molly's parents are in the band so I've seen them lots and lots), Pronghorn (Molly's dad is in the band, I've seen them lots), Ellie Lawson (acoustic songs, written herself, performed with her partner, just a lovely sound) and SGT Pepper's Only Dartboard Band (a super good Beatles tribute). The festival is really small, good for families or groups in general (my family and I went with another family) and it has a fab atmosphere and everyone is really nice, and its easy to like talk to people and what not. They also had open mic slots, Sunday's was especially good, but I'm not brave enough to get up haha!
I promise to post more this week...I may even try every day, with photos! This is a relatively short post but I'm so tired and I just don't have much to say apart from I suggest you get yourself there next year, tickets go on sale in September!
Remember to follow this blog if you enjoy it, and comment below if you have any suggestions, criticism, queries or anything at all really!
Thanks for reading, Megan x
